Speedy ascent for building a new hospital

In Brig, Switzerland, a new hospital centre is intended to improve health care availability in the region – with considerably more beds and operating theatres. This project also involves the building of a nine-storey extension. SpeedyScaf was used here not only to ensure speedy assembly of the work and protective scaffolding to keep pace with progress on the building shell, but also to permit on-site requirements to be implemented using one system – meaning use of standard parts. The basis for this was digital advance planning using LayPLAN CAD.

  • Work and protective scaffolding with a total length of more than 70 metres and a total width of
    40
     metres
  •
  • Implementation of on-site requirements such as provision of SpeedyScaf platform stairtowers for
    site access
  •
  • Careful advance planning in 3D using LayPLAN CAD
  •
  • Exact determination of required material using LayPLAN MATERIALMANAGER – ensuring that the scaffolding material needed was on site and on time for every construction phase
